Dawn, the font colour on your blog is clashing with the background making it difficult to read. Also the font size is to small. You need to change the colour of your font to black and resize the font to maybe 13 or 14. That should help greatly.
Oh, and I'm loving your background. Don't change that at all: it reminds e of a blanket my grandmother had made me when I was little. LOL
